IP CAM Viewer and IPv6

Postby TomCam » Tue Dec 04, 2018 11:46 am

Hello,
my new router (Fritzbox 7590) have a “real” IPv4 and IPv6 Internet address. I use dyndns.org for these addresses.

My Foscam 9826w has only an IPv4 IP Stack (192.168.1.210). I create an IP forwarding (NAT) form my official address to the local IPv4 address 192.168.1.210 (http 80).

Everything is working fine, if I connect to mycam.dyndns.org from the internet with Firefox form my smartphone.

But IP Cam Viewer says, “Could not connect to given Hostname”.

After a research I found that IP Cam Viewer use IPv6 for the given dyndns.org hostname. But I must use IPv4, because the foscam have no IPv6 address.

If I type my IPv4 address in the camera properties in the IP CAM Viewer it works. But how can I tell the app to use IPv4?

Please help.

Regards,
Tom
