Can view Trendnet TV-IP410 via web but not app.

Postby Capital » Thu Jun 04, 2009 8:19 am

Hello, I had this app working over my wifi and the neighbor's wifi and was loving it. However, when I left wifi I could no longer get the camera to work. I'm using DynDns and can pull the camera from anywhere over the internet but I just can't get the app working.

Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere? Double and triple checked the password and sign in name. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Another person had this issue where edge/3g would take too long and the app would timeout to try and refresh another camera. The latest version relaxes the timeout a bit so please give it another try over edge/3g.

My best guest is that the default streaming port is blocked by the ISP. Try changing it from the default 554. Maybe you can share more information about your network cam setting.

With the last update it's working like a charm. At first I did think the port was being blocked, I did some research and found that it wasn't. Looks like it was just timing out before it could get the image.

Thanks so much for the help.

Hi,

I have version 2.3.0, and I can no longer see my IP410. I let the app sit for ~3 minutes. The IP410 did not load, but the two Sony cameras did.

**UPDATE** Nevermind. Something was wrong with the camera. I rebooted it, and everything is working fine.

Regards,
Mike
