Viewer Pro doesnt detect generic DVR

Postby Cederian » Mon Sep 29, 2014 3:37 pm

Hi everyone. I've dealing with "Failed to retrieve image from camara" error in my Android phone for like a week or so. Tt seems IP Cam Viewer Pro doesnt have the proper drivers for my generic DVR. I work as an Sysadmin, so LAN and WAN network is working as it should.

Any help with this?

NOTE:
I can connect via IE (HTTP Port) , and with the software it came with (Mobile Port).
Tried with "Automatic Detect" with no luck, it doesnt detect my DVR.

Greetings.
Maximiliano.-

There's probably a compatible driver already in the app. Use Scan Camera function to find compatible drivers.

If you only want Wifi access to camera, then first verify network accessibility by viewing your camera/dvr's login page using the phone/tablet browser.

If you want 2/3/4g access to camera, then verify network setup by viewing your camera/dvr using a PC IE browser from OUTSIDE your home wifi. Next, your phone/tablet browser should be able to load the login page but viewing may not be possible due to lack of active-x IE controls.
See this link for info: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=47

Once that works, then try my app. The "Scan Camera" function can help when you're not sure of the make/model. Try scanning the device's WEB/MEDIA/MOBILE/DATA ports (shown in device settings).

If Scan Camera return no results, then try to find a driver by DVR port or by login screen:

If you still have problems, AFTER scanning ALL device ports and reading all links, then give me temporary access to it and I'll put it into my work queue.

Just email me the web login URL and a temporary username/password.

Also, include the make/model and a product url link (if possible).

Thanks,
Rob
