There's probably a compatible driver already in the app. Use Scan Camera function to find compatible drivers.

If you only want Wifi access to camera, then first verify network accessibility by viewing your camera/dvr's login page using the phone/tablet browser.

If you want 2/3/4g access to camera, then verify network setup by viewing your camera/dvr using a PC IE browser from OUTSIDE your home wifi. Next, your phone/tablet browser should be able to load the login page but viewing may not be possible due to lack of active-x IE controls.
See this link for info: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=47

Once that works, then try my app. The "Scan Camera" function can help when you're not sure of the make/model. Try scanning the device's WEB/MEDIA/MOBILE/DATA ports (shown in device settings).

If Scan Camera return no results, then try to find a driver by DVR port or by login screen:
http://hit-mob.com/contact/default-ports-for-devices/
http://hit-mob.com/contact/login-screens-for-devices/

If you still have problems, even AFTER scanning ALL device's ports, then give me temporary access to it and I'll try to connect.

Just email me the web login URL and a temporary username/password.

Also, include the make/model and a product url link (if possible).

Thanks,
Rob

First of all, thanks for this great app, i bought the full version a while ago and I'm happy i did. Wondering if you can help me with my 4 channel USB DVR. I recently purchased this unit and i can't make it work with your app. This product comes with a DVR software and an android app but i can't seem to make their app work either and plus I'd prefer using your app. This link is for the 8 channel version of the QQDVR and has the mobile app in the software download section (http://onsalecctv.com/index.php?main_pa ... cts_id=399). So far i forwarded port 9881 as per instruction manual and did the scan with your app but no success. Please let me know if there's anything you can do to help.

Best,
Iulian

Hi,

I'm using IP-Cam-Vierwer Lite (payed version 4.9.2) on an Archos 70 IT tablet .
How can I get a sound when motion is detected ?
The feature 'record when motion' works fine but 'Play sound when motion' doesn't work with my Panasonic BLC 131 nor Instar 4010 ??!!

The microphone function by clicking the speaker-symbol works fine.

Has anybody an idea what I'm doing wrong ??

Kind regards

Hi Robert, no idea? ? :P

...I don't know why - but now feature is working since three weeks ! :D

Would it be possible to get H264/HD support for the Maygion H.264 camera?
It is developed by Maygion but also sold as Dericam H502W, Cybernova WIP604MW, Eyesight as ES-IP902W, Chinavasion CVL-I234-2GEN, Anxin HW-M1007RNBCT.

You can find a link to a Eyesight as ES-IP902W here:

And a demo cam here:

Crash in matrix view

Postby brcarls » Fri Sep 27, 2013 11:09 am

I am running IP Cam Viewer on a GBox mounted behind a TV to be used as a 24x7 display of my security cameras.

The problem is that it crashes to the "desktop" if I leave it displaying 4 cams in matrix view. It might take 15 mins or several hours, but it never makes it all day in matrix view.

If I display just a single camera, it seems stable.

Are there any logs I can submit to find out why it's crashing?

Is there an app that can monitor IP Cam Viewer and automagically relaunch it when it crashes?

lower resolution/framerate on cameras, also try different video codec settings.

Re: IP Cam Viewer

The same problem here with the new Foscam Model FI9826W.
The IP Cam Viewer seems to use only the JPEG Picture Mode instead of the h.264 stream.
The pictures only update every few seconds according to the "on screen" time overlay(seconds) from the Foscam.

In the IPCamViewer camera setup I can only use the FI9802W or FI9821 to successfully get a test image(this test image is most probably a JPEG).

"Sub stream" use
The cam has two streams available you can select them at the login site("Main stream" and "Sub stream"). The "Sub stream" seems to be especially for mobile Apps with a very low resolution(you can't change this stream in the Foscam settings). So for bandwidth concerns it would be nice if we can select between the two streams with the IP Cam Viewer. Since the "Main stream" you want to use the maximum picture quality IE 960P and that might be too much for some mobile devices. The main reason for using the "Sub stream" is that the JPEG picture the Foscam generates is bound on the "Main stream" settings. If I change the "Main stream" to a low resolution the JPEG Picture changes to the same resolution.

I tried this with the latest IP Cam VIewer light v5.2.1 on an Adroid 4.2 midrange dualcore tablet.

Edit:
I want to get some attention to my threat over in the support forum: "JPG frame rate / picture interval .....adjust?"
http://hit-mob.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=5598
Since this new Foscam problem would be also easier to handle for me if I could change the JPG frame rate interval for the high resolution JPEG pictures inside the IP Cam Viewer to reduce the bandwidth and so the mobile device CPU load.

So please some feedback over there.

Not sure if I should have posted this here or start a new thread...

I asssume that the IP Cam Viewer app uses these urls to access the feeds, would anyone be able tell me what the url is for my DVR?
