IPHone IP Cam Viever with ZMODO

Postby geo » Fri Jan 07, 2011 11:17 pm

I have ZMODOD DVR with 8 cameras, and trying to configure the app.
Web client is http://68.36.161.154:2141/
I selected type ZMODO DVR,
IP = 68.36.161.154
Port = 2141

does not work, I tried Port = 9000 and 18004 does not work.
9000 port is the one that used to access Cameras through ActiveX on page, the 18004 is the port that configured for mobile viewing on the DVR.

thanks
George.

your zmodo dvr requires the driver that uses the h.264 codec.

the iOS version does not have the h.264 and audio codecs yet.

once that is ported, then drivers, like yours, can be ported to iOS.

thanks,

It works on my iPhone 4!

It took me a minute to figure it out but I got it working on both my wife's Android and my iPhone.

Here's what I did for my iPhone...
1. I visited the App Store and found the app "ASee".
2. I installed "ASee" and configured the app as the instructions that came with my Zmodo DVR-H9104V stated.
3. Entered my Device Name: (I previously set this up my DVR)
4. Entered my Address: Can be IP or Web (Currently, I am using my IP address but, I plan on setting up an account with dyndns.com)
5. Entered Port: 18004 (This is the default mobile port with DVR-H9104V)
6. Entered User ID: admin
7. Deleted Password: left this blank (I deleted the password in the DVR for testing, I would Recommend adding a password in the DVR and then typing it into the App)
8. Entered Max Channel: 4 (My system only has 4 cameras, you must put a number in here)
9. Pressed the OK Button.
10. My Device name showed up in the list and I pressed it.
11. The Video displayed!

Hope this helps!

***I haven't figured out yet how to zoom from the app with the camera's that came with my DVR. I can zoom from the dvr directly through the interface.***
