DVR Progress Update?

Postby chugger93 » Mon May 24, 2010 5:37 pm

N4spd;

What are the odds of you giving any sort of progress update in percentages of how far your complete on things. For example, H264 and support for cctv dvr's. Q-see, Swann, Lorex for example? I just figured it would give some of us waiting some hope to keep coming back and such. I for one know your a busy guy as I spoke with you over email, but I figured it would be good to alert people with updates. I keep seeing updates in the market, install them anyways, but knowing my camera prob isn't support yet.

I'd also like to start a donation pool. If anyone is willing to contribute, post here. Specially if you are someone waiting on these camera integrations like I am.

In the meantime, thanks for all your hard work!

q-see support will be released this sunday!

once that is done, other h.264 dvrs will be much easier to do, just a matter of time really...

thanks,
rob

Rob;

Come sunday I will try Q-see then even though I have swann cameras. Maybe I'll get lucky! If not, you have the credentials for my cameras to work from!

Sunday's release will allow you to connect to q-see and zmodo DVRs which have the Mobile Port (18600) enabled (used by q-see's other mobile clients).

In a future release, I'll try to reverse engineer the Media Port (9000) api (used by it's activex control).

With some luck, the swann will work too. If not, I'll going go back over all the dvrs people have sent me and try again to get them to work. It may take a while though since it's just me at night...

Thanks,
Rob

Hey Rob;

Saw the update on the market and downloaded. It took awhile to try and connect to my swann camera's but it failed again. I choose the new "Swann DVR/Mobile Port"

Looks like it's trying to fetch http://myip.com/1

for camera 1, but that URL doesnt even work through my web browser, so I'm sure thats the problem.

I did test with a SWANN DVR (didn't know which model) and it was exactly the same as the q-see model so the new h.264 driver worked fine. Make sure you use the Mobile Port at 18600 (see document below to enable this port). The driver only works with the mobile port (just like the other iphone / windows mobile client) and NOT the http or Media Port.
http://www.q-see.com/files/ResourceFile ... Mobile.pdf

Your url should look like http://dvr.x.com:18600

Thanks,
Rob

If you still have problems, then as always, give me temporary access to your dvr and I'll investigate.
