Trouble viewing Dlink DCS920 works wifi but not 3G

Postby djbass2001 » Wed Mar 03, 2010 4:34 pm

I have a dlink DCS920 IP camera that works well while using it with a WIfi connection but when I use my 3G connection its constantly loading and cannot retrieve image. I have changed all the settings to the lowest resolution and FPS but still no luck please help.

Please email me with temporary access to your camera and I'll look into what's going on. They app will timeout if the network is too slow and so maybe it's just taking too long for your camera. If that is the case, then I can put an option in the app settings to extend timeout further.

Turns out he was using an address like 192.x.x.x. Again, ip addresses starting with 192 and 10 are NOT route-able outside of your house. Just about every house uses thoses addresses. You need to configure your router (or camera) to use a free dynamic dns server so that it can be reached via the WAN IP address.
