Is there a way to ad hoc peer-t-peer connect to an ip camera? We like the app but need to connect to the camera without using the internet.

I don't know whether you check the other forum, but a question was posted there that I followed up on and would be very interested in knowing the answer to when you get the chance:

Hey,

I have an Elro DVR250. As far as I can tell this is an AVtech KPD674 DVR (http://www.avtech.com.my/dvr_kpd674.html).

I added the URL in IPcam viewer as an AVTECH/AVTECH DVR. When I press test, I get the failed to retrieve error, but I notice that the DVR unit is switching it's VGA output to the cam number I entered in IPcam viewer. So I'm sure there is a connection.

Do you have any advice how to get this to work?

Thanks alot!!!

Please bear with me!
I purchased the IP Cam View for my new Evo phone, I thought it was going to be as easy as using my computer in my office to connect to my server. I'm not a computer sabi so I'm king of confuse on how to connect to my system. I typed my IP address on the URL, user name and the password I use to log in from my office but I keep getting an error message that saids "failed to retrieve image from camera" Can some one help me please?
Thank you in advance
