app is not connecting properly to the dsc alarm.

First, make sure you can access the device's web login page using your mobile browser on 3g.
See this link for info: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=47

Once that works, then try my app.

If you still have problems, then give me temporary access to it and I'll try to connect.

Just email me the web login URL and a temporary username/password.

Thanks,
Rob

I have the app configured and it successfully connects but the widget as well as the app's native interface status show "unknown" (in red letters) for system and all zones. It show the proper update time but the DSC Time = NA. Please help

Hi Robert,
Awesome apps, keep up the good work

Will there ever be an option to arm in Away mode? Or is this a limitation of the TL-150?
The envisalink board looks to be able to but i already have a TL-150 and do not want to purchase a new board again!
Activating the PGM o/p would be a nice option as well as i have my Garage door wired to this to remotely open the door with my Escort.

Robert, another tip of the hat for two fantastic programs (this and the ipcamviewer) . I tend to be borderline paranoid when it comes to secutrity and video surveillance. These to apps are right up my alley. Unfortunately my current 16 channel camera system analog and I have to replace each camera with an IP camera... so more $$$ to spend.

I recently added the IP100D card to multiple dcs. And Eyez-ON has shared the direct arm/disarm HTTP get syntax - so I can arm and disarm from any browser and command line. This let me configure a Tasked profile that arms when I leave the house and disarms when I return (keyed in on my SSID). G

So now I pretty much use you DSC app to only monitor the status. I've noticed that lately there are massive delays in getting the status, though. For example, about half the time when I run the app i, it looks like its trying to refresh (the update time is frozen). When that happens, sometimes it will go to red "unknown", and others it just sticks with whatever the last status is (from hours earlier). Yet, if I bring up the ip100d's direct local page, its current and interactive. I then go back to your app, bit it still isn't updating. If I click the arm button, nothing happens. Then unprompted when the app regains live status (maybe 20 min later) all of a sudden the arm command goes through.

Ive prompted

Robert - I'm using the IP Cam Viewer and DSC Alarm Monitor every day, with no problems. Thanks for all of your ongoing support on both great apps.

I have a suggestion for an enhancement to the DSC Alarm Monitor that you might consider. I would very much like to be able to selectively set ARM STAY or ARM AWAY from the App, especially when we have left the house, and are arming it remotely.

Robert, I own an alarm sales and installation company that activates over 200 units per month. Helping me get this working will mean a lot of app sales for you...please help

fredjohnson wrote:Hello six8guy, I also have the htc EVo. I used the free AP for a week and was very impressed so I purchased the "full AP". I was having the same problem you describe with the full AP. So, I shutdown and restarted my EVO, I did not touch the EVO for 5 minutes after I restarted it.
I then went to the desktop area that has the widget and touched the widget. This opened the AP with the same view as clicking on the AP icon. My alarm status has worked correctly since that time. I do not have to "reboot" my EVO but when I do, I access the DSC AP via the widget first and it works like a champ.

Thanks Robert,

I appreciate your willing to help of line with this... As it turned out it was our Internet connection that was the problem. The app is working great and I look forward to having my customers began to use the app.

Hello.
Excuse me for this silly question, but first I am unable to connect to the TL150.
When I try to connect with EI and address tl-150 nothing happens.

I think I must first give it an IP address from the keyboard but I do not know the programming sequence.
With 851 sequence? and after?
Thanks for your help.

N4Spd wrote:This native gPhone application allows a home owner to monitor and control their DSC Home Alarm remotely. You can see the status of zones and arm/disarm the alarm.

With one-time setup in the application and a native Android interface, it makes interacting with your alarm system much simpler from away from home.

We use the software to arm the alarm once we realize we'll be gone longer than expected. The alarm also calls us when it's triggered, allowing us to see which zones were triggered and then monitor IP security cameras (see our free IP Cam Viewer app).

This app works with the DSC TL-150 module. Although it is not longer for sale with DSC, you can still get the Envisalink IP-100D Module (Made by: Envisalink and Sold by: Eyez-on.com); which is made by the same company as the DSC TL-150 module. It provides some additional system capabilities.

You can download/install this application from your gPhone using the "Market" application (link). Search for words in the application name above.

Now includes a desktop widget which displays the current arm/disarm status using an icon along with update date/time and text status.

Great post! It's very nice. Thank you so much for your post.

The app received an update a day or two ago, and I'm curious to know if there were any changes to its functionality, or if it just included changes of the behind the scenes variety. I haven't noticed anything different.
